1 in 10 Men have Sexually Offended Against Children (Australia 2021)
The Australian Rights Institute has found that 1 in 10 men has sexually offended against children. As many as 1 in 5 Australian men have had sexual feelings towards children, and/ or have actually acted on those feelings, by sexually offending against children, according to a new report released by the Australian Human Rights Institute at UNSW Sydney.
You can listen to the podcast where lead investigator and Institute Associate, Professor Michael Salter, and 2021 Australian of the Year Grace Tame join ABC's RN Breakfast program to discuss the report.

Meat Rack - Selling Very Young Boys to be Sexually Abused
Even children are not spared by the porn merchants. In fact, they are targeted for the 'trade.' Millions of children, both girls and boys are trafficked and become sex slaves after they 'disappear' into the sexual abuse industry. Tragically, this 'trade' is increasing by the moment. Statistics indicate that at any given time there are 750,000 child predators on line as reported in the video "Cyber Pedophiles: Webcam Predators in the Philippines" (at 24 minutes, 30 seconds) in the video below.
Child abuse occurs to both girls and boys and even in Australia, boys were sold or rented on open markets. Michael Tarraga documented his story as a "Meat Rack Boy" in a book of that title. https://spotlightonabuse.wordpress.com/tag/piccadilly-circus/
The following video reveals the many serious effects of the trauma that resulted when they were sexually abused by adult men who held authorative positions. https://youtu.be/WoOzqebOU1k
What About the Children?
Pornifying Children Through Imagery
Popeye, the Sailor Man
There are many cartoons that could be included in this presentation, however to demonstrate that the pornification of our children was a concerted effort on the part of Hollywood, we will look at some clips from the Popeye series. There are many others, however these are some that were prepared for young children.
How did our society come to accept the sexual abuse and torture of others? Why did the cartoon series' producer find it necessary to continually portray women characters as accepting male physical and emotional abuse without objection? Through these cartoons, children are purposely trained to accept abuse and mistreatment, but to consider it as funny. It is an indoctrination of innocent children.
Critique of Popeye - Blow Me Down (Black & White released -1938)
In the black and white Popeye video, Popeye is on a trip to meet Olive Oyl his girlfriend. On the way to see her, Popeye stops to buy her a boquet, which turns out to be a single, plain flower.
Olive Oyl works by entertaining men as a saloon girl (i.ie. a dancer).
Popeye commits many acts of violence against Bluto the Bandit and a Mexican character both enroute to the saloon and inside the saloon.
Olive Oyl's dancing is crude, inelegant and undignified. Many scenes display Olive Oyl dancing before the men in the saloon with her legs wide apart facing the viewer. She also squats open-legged. Popeye enters the saloon and when Olive Oyl sees him, she calls his name and appears very happy to see him and she quickly dances over to his table. In her haste to reach Popeye's table, Olive Oyl trips on a spitoon which ends up hitting her on the head twice. (A spitoon was a bowl found in saloons, where men who chewed tobacco, would spit mucus, saliva and tobacco remains).
Popeye, while supposedly caring for Olive Oyl, laughs heartily at her distress then he offers her a small and wilted flower which now has a broken stem. Olive Oyl cherishes the sign of affection, but then Olive Oyl continues dancing but manages to become stuck in two more spitoons - one spitoon becoming lodged on each of her feet. She tap dances with the spitoons on her feet. Neither Popeye nor the other customers come to Olive Oyl's assistance. Olive Oyl accepts the applause and raucous laughter after she completes her dance. Bluto the Bandit enters the scene with two guns and fires them repeatedly and everyone except for Popeye runs away. More violence erupts when Popeye and Bluto become engaged in a compeptition of muscular strength. Bluto the Bandit calls in reinforcements to beat Popeye, but Popeye ingests some tinned spinnach and appears to receive super strength and defeats the mob of men who set upon him. Bluto the Bandit then enters Olive Oyl's dressing room and Olive Oyl calls out in distress for Popeye to help her. When Popeye busts into the room, he sees Bluto the Bandit on the floor with Olive Oyl bashing him repeatedly on the head with a huge club. Popeye joins in the beating and eventually throws Bluto out of the window. Popeye follows him out and the mutual bashing continues, but eventually Popeye ends up 'winning' and Bluto is dispatched into the sky with one of Popeye's mighty punches that causes him to orbit the world and then land collapsed at Popeye's feet. Popeye punches Bluto one more time, then as Bluto is unconscious on the ground, the violent hero puts his foot on Bluto's abdomen and sings his narcissistic victory song, "I'm Popeye the sailor man!"
This cartoon teaches children that:
The hero man uses a whole lot of violence and that violence is acceptable;
The hero man shows disrespect for his girlfriend by laughing at her distress;
The hero man shows disrespect for his girlfirhed by condoning her dancing provocatively in front of other men;
The girl should not expect her boyfriend to help her if she gets into difficulty, but she should anticipate that he will laugh at her distress;
The girl needs to use violence to save herself from lecherous men, but it's acceptable and desirable for her to dance lustfully in front of them; and
The girl needs to understand that she can cause men to fight over her when she uses her body provocatively to incite lust and that is how she can get some form of power as men won't treat her as being valuable otherwise.
The repeated but masked message from the Popeye series is brutal and a common theme in porn . The Popeye series portray "real men" as being:
violent,
competitive,
interested in women to gain sexual access, but not for friendship,
hesitant to commit to marriage,
disrespectful toward women
amused and entertaining to see women in dangerous, embarrassing or stressful situations
happy to laugh at women when they are stressed, in danger, helpless, humilated or beaten.
Other Popeye videos - short synopsis of each below: Popeye - A Day at Muscle Beach - Men have muscles and must be willing to use violence in order to prove their manhood. Women must be willing to remove their clothing in order to be seen as real women. Popeye & Sinbad - It is to fight over possession of a 'girl.' Women are not respected as being equal in value to men. Just as the racists insist on calling grown men, 'boys' so men insist on referring to women as 'girl' or 'babe.' Men can beat women up and that's not good, but it is considered far worse to steal another man's 'girl.' Nearly Weds - Women are fickle and decide on marriage partners based on factors other than character, such as prestige. Cross-dressing Popeye kisses a man in uniform and the policeman accepts the kiss and blushes. Introduction to acceptance of gay culture. Bride & Groom - A real man ie Popeye is afraid of commitment to one woman. Women can disrobe on TV or in movies but not in person (porn). Sweat Pea - The closing song is, "There's no ifs or maybes, I'll never have babies, I'm Popeye the Sailor Man." Never Kick a Woman - Hypersexualisation, subliminal ejaculation scene (starts at 40 seconds), violence between jealous women is considered entertaining to Popeye. Women blame each other instead of the man for his adultery. Women are "sporting goods." Women have to accept adulterous partners and after a fight with them, accept them back. (Popeye's 37th theatrical cartoon, produced by Fleischer Studios and released on August 30, 1936).

Help Free the Children
Why aren't the children valued? Rights of the child? Children are also used and only valued for what can be extracted from them to enrich the more powerful adults. Children are forced to work in factories but also in the PIMP EMPIRE as sexually abused slaves.
Imagine the wounding, the emotional carnage done to these precious children. Will you contribute to the problem the children face or will you be part of the solution who stands up for the children?
The Department of Justice - USA “Some of our most vulnerable children also face the threat of being victimized by commercial sexual exploitation. Runaways, throwaways, sexual assault victims, and neglected children can be recruited into a violent life of forced prostitution.” – Deputy Attorney General James Cole speaks at the National Strategy Conference on Combating Child Exploitation in San Jose, California, May 17, 2011. Child Sex Trafficking "Child sex trafficking refers to the recruitment, harboring, transportation, provision, obtaining, patronizing, or soliciting of a minor for the purpose of a commercial sex act. Offenders of this crime who are commonly referred to as traffickers, or pimps, target vulnerable children and gain control over them using a variety of manipulative methods. Victims frequently fall prey to traffickers who lure them in with an offer of food, clothes, attention, friendship, love, and a seemingly safe place to sleep. After cultivating a relationship with the child and engendering a false sense of trust, the trafficker will begin engaging the child in prostitution, and use physical, emotional, and psychological abuse to keep the child trapped in a life of prostitution. It is common for traffickers to isolate victims by moving them far away from friends and family, altering their physical appearances, or continuously moving them to new locations. Victims are heavily conditioned to remain loyal to the trafficker and to distrust law enforcement. No child is immune to becoming a victim of child sex trafficking, regardless of the child’s race, age, socioeconomic status, or location, and every child involved in this form of commercial sexual exploitation is a victim. Technological advances, in particular the Internet and mobile devices, have facilitated the sex trafficking of children by providing a convenient worldwide marketing channel. Individuals can now use websites and social media to advertise, schedule, and purchase sexual encounters with minors. The Internet and mobile devices also allow pimps and traffickers to reach a larger clientele base than in the past, which may expose victims to greater risks and dangers. Child sex trafficking investigations present unique challenges to law enforcement and require a robust multijurisdictional response, with multiple agencies playing a critical role in ensuring the protection of victims and effective prosecution of offenders. The method by which most traffickers identify, recruit, market, and maintain their victims results in a unique combination of sustained violent criminal behavior with reluctant victims and witnesses. Although interviews of sex trafficking victims frequently identify traffickers and other accomplices, some child victims may resist identifying their traffickers because of fear or other means of manipulation that the pimp has exercised over them. Furthermore, the victim may only know their traffickers’ street name and cannot fully identify their traffickers. Child sex trafficking victims are often not recognized as victims and may be arrested and jailed. The dangers faced by these children—from the traffickers, their associates, and from customers—are severe. These children become hardened by the treacherous environment in which they must learn to survive. As such, they do not always outwardly present as sympathetic victims. They also frequently suffer from short–term and long–term psychological effects such as depression, self-hatred, and feelings of hopelessness. These child victims also need specialized services that are not widely available given they often have illnesses, drug addictions, physical and sexual trauma, lack of viable family and community ties, and total dependence—physical and psychological—on their abusers." https://www.justice.gov/criminal-ceos/child-sex-trafficking https://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/nation-now/2018/01/30/sex-trafficking-column/1073459001/
Child Sexual Abuse and Criminal Offending - Gender
Like a lethal Strangler Fig squeezing the life out of an otherwise healthy tree, so child sexual abuse squeezes the life out of its victims.
From our own experience, it appears that children who receive love from at least one source are far less likely to become adult offenders. It would be helpful to find scientific research to test that personal theory.
